Organizing a fundraising campaign can be overwhelming or even seems unbearable sometimes. Don’t be afraid! Be organized and STAY organized! Create a committee that focus only on fundraising and have an agenda when your group meets every time. Organize each staff to do specific tasks and keep them informed so they are aware of everything every step of the way. Inform participants (kids, or members) and their family members of the upcoming fundraising campaign so they are aware and prepared to support your group.

Captain Piggy’s fundraising consultants have years of real life fundraising experience. Their previous experiences as fundraisers themselves (for example, PTO/PTA members) help them understand the challenges you are facing. They can assist you and provide you with answers to your questions. Captain Piggy’s fundraising consultants are not sales person; they are here to help you organize a successful fundraising campaign.

Make a commitment about your group’s fundraising goal and state it publicly. This causes your mind to internalize it as a verbal commitment. Your goal should be realistic, but also aim high. Have a super goal that’s at least 20% beyond the regular goal. This allows you to keep the sales momentum going once your first goal is reached. You’ll be surprised how hard everyone will work to hit that goal. Give it a big reward! Structure your sales efforts to emphasize and reward achievement of that goal.

Motivate each salesperson with a self-selected personal goal stated in front of their peer group. This verbal commitment is a powerful psychological motivator that brings results.

Use Captain Piggy’s fundraising calculator to figure out how much product each person needs to sell. Communicate that to your participants. Remember to always set a super goal!

Fun is part of fundraising. Don’t make it drudgery to be a volunteer or a participant. Remember that they’re giving up their free time to help. Make sure everyone takes ownership of the fundraiser’s success on an individual level as well as within the group effort. Everyone should be committed to doing whatever it takes to reach the group goal.

You can motivate your group and make fundraising exciting by offering great incentives like prizes, fun activities and other rewards. Plan fun things to do during each stage of the process that reward involvement.

As the name suggests, Captain Piggy is all about FUN! Captain Piggy has some of the coolest rewards and gifts for your participants to kept them excited and motivated.

Say NO to JUNK! Many fundraising companies try to sell you junk so they can give out extremely high profit margin misleading you into thinking you will make more money. Just remember, JUNK = BAD REPUTATION = LOW PROFIT = NO FUTURE SALES

At Captain Piggy, We sell high quality products people actually want. We don’t sell you inferior products because that will not only damage your group's reputation, but also hurt your future fundraising efforts. Our products are the EXACT same products sold in stores.

Get the word out about your fundraiser in as many ways as possible. Get into as many neighborhood newsletters and other public forms of communication as you can. Send out press releases to the local media and invite coverage with photo ops at your fundraising events.
